The activity I would like to share with you turned learning the usage of the modal verb SHOULD into an extraordinary experience full of joy and interaction.The activity can be adapted for other purposes you find appropriate according to your needs in the classroom.
The idea is to organize your students into two circles facing each other so that each student from the inner circle has a partner from the outer one.Each student from the inner circle comes up with a problem and the partnering student from the outer circle is supposed to offer a solution using the verb SHOULD.As soon as the short dialogues between the two of them finish the outer circle moves and they face another partner from the outer circle ready to offer his or her help to solve the problem.All these dialogues happen at the same time ,there is movement,there is communication,there is fun and at the end when they face their first partner we make a short summary of all the solutions they were offered to their problem by their classmates.
