Me and My Parents

My students have always liked "relationship lessons". They go deep into the story and talk and talk about what they think or feel about a particular problem. That is why, from time to time, I have such lessons. Usually I tell them an inspiring story with an open ending. It is a lot of fun for the students to build the story up to the very end. The best part is that they develop their skills while having fun.

Yet, another more interesting possibility is to show them a video and start the "talking part". After the discussion, which involves the whole class, the students may be divided into groups. There are a few questions written on the board for them to discuss in the groups. Sometimes I give them the opportunity to draw their answer. After that the groups share their answers. At the end of the lesson the groups draw conclusions. I ask each group to  draw one such conclusion, which sums up their ideas on the topic.
